Reverend Natasha Stewart
Interim Rector
Rev. Natasha comes to us from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Scituate, where she has been Rector for the past 7 years. Prior to that, she was Rector of Trinity Church in Bridgewater for 11 years, where she oversaw 50% growth in the congregation!
Rev. Natasha has a BA in Philosophy from The University of North Carolina at Asheville and a Masters of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York City. She was ordained a Deacon in 2005 and a priest in 2006 and has served on a wide variety of committees and Boards within the Massachusetts Diocese, including serving as the President of the Barbara C. Harris Center’s Board of Directors.
Rev. Natasha will be officially starting with us on Monday, June 8th and will lead our worship service for the first time on Sunday, June 14th.

Dr. Rachel Teubner
Director of Christian Education

Dr. Rachel Teubner is a 2011 graduate of Yale Divinity School and Associate in Medieval Studies at Harvard. She is married to Jonathan and brings three children to PGS: Ella, Isaiah, and Asa. Rachel coordinates weekly Sunday School for children and the weekly Adult Forum for adults, as well as confirmation and formation with teenagers. She also directs the seasonal celebrations that mark the liturgical year, including All Hallows’ Eve, Shrove Tuesday, and (her personal favorite) the annual Christmas pageant.
Rachel is a teacher of literature and theology and the author of Dante and the Practice of Humility: A Theological Commentary on the Divine Comedy (2023). She worked for five years at Australian Catholic University, where she was a research fellow in Medieval and Early Modern Studies. Prior to her doctoral work, Rachel held jobs in bookstores, libraries, university public engagement, Catholic Worker ministries, Lutheran summer camps, and community college teaching. She holds degrees in religion and literature from St. Olaf College, Yale Divinity School, and the University of Virginia.
Rachel was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Maine. She and her husband Jonathan started their family in Charlottesville, Virginia, and after that lived in Melbourne, AU, and Berlin prior to moving to the Boston area in 2021. Dorothy Day and Joni Mitchell are among her heroes; other favorites are city walking, family cycling, picnics, black coffee, and the coast of Maine.
Andrew Sheranian
Organist & Choirmaster
Good Shepherd is grateful to welcome Andrew Sheranian as our Interim Organist/Choirmaster.
From 2010-2025, Andrew Sheranian has been Organist and Master of Choristers at the Parish of All Saints, Ashmont (Episcopal) in Boston, a church known for excellence in liturgy and music.
Prior to Ashmont, Mr. Sheranian served seven years as Organist and Choirmaster at Christ’s Church in Rye, NY. He holds degrees in organ performance from New England Conservatory and Yale University, and as a student held positions at the Parish of All Saints in Boston, and Christ Church in New Haven.
A lifelong student of Johann Sebastian Bach, Mr. Sheranian is the founding director of The Bach Project, a baroque ensemble of instrumentalists and singers, performing the full spectrum of Bach’s music in the greater Boston area, now in its seventh season.

Marcelle Couto
Sunday School Teacher – Pre-K & Lower Elementary
Marcelle (pronounced “Mar-cell-ee") was born in Rochester, MN, and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where she attended an international school. This May she graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Liberal Studies, Theology, and Philosophy.
Marcelle is a graduate student at the BC School of Theology and Ministry. She has a passion for the humanities, music and the arts, especially choral singing, and a desire to pass on the gift of learning that has shaped me, as she discerns a vocation to education. She is excited to serve this community as a Sunday School teacher, encouraging children to discover Christ’s love in their lives.
Sut Hting Mung Awn
Sunday School Teacher – Upper Elementary
Mung Awn is a candidate for the Master of Sacred Theology from Boston University. He also holds a Master of Divinity from MIT (Myanmar Institute of Theology) and a Bachelor of Theology from Holy Cross Theological College (Anglican Ordinal School).
Originally from Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, Mung Awn is one of the Kachin tribal people and was born and raised in the Anglican tradition.
Mung Awn is excited to serve as a Sunday School Teacher at Good Shepherd and to connect with the community.
